9apr15 Failures

Denis and his 6 sisters were taken by Mi Familia, a government organization. I feel like a failure. Good thing the word FAILURE is a Dean word, and not a God Word! I call myself a failure a lot. God never does, NOR do the people God has sent into my life to help me!
But failure is not a bad thing. Failure brings a sinner to his knees (where I am A LOT lately!) Failure makes us recognize that Jesus is Lord over all, and we are not. When I teach in prisons Psalms 107 is my favorite. Every now and then I see a high rolling gringo in there. A total winner by life’s standards, money, looks, education. Stuck in a cel with 50 hard core criminals in a 3rd world country. Every gringo’s nightmare. Most had never failed until then. It is a good thing! Because now they cry out to the Lord, whereas before it would have never occured to them. Still feel sorry for those guys though.
Psalm 107:12……..they fell down, and there was none to help. 13 Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
And of course, the verse that brought me to my knees, Taught by my Lord Jesus, Matthew 5:3 3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Definition of a failure. “SOMEONE WHO TRIED TO DO SOMETHING DIFFICULT”. If you haven’t ever failed,….. ( my resolution is to stop saying negative and hurtful things.)
Good news! Denis and his sisters hopefully are being returned to a better and safer environment. Pray…. This is extremely painful. Not just for us, but for the whole barrio.
More good news! If you are trusting in the finished work of the Cross and the Resurrection of Jesus, you are a WINNER even if you think of yourself as a failure. Even IF the rest of the world agrees with you.

9apr15 Los Fracasos

Denis y sus 6 hermanas fueron tomadas por Mi Familia, una organización gubernamental. Me siento! Me llamo a mí mismo un fracaso a menudo. Dios nunca lo hace, ni las personas que Dios ha enviado a mi vida para que me ayude!
Pero el fracaso no es una mala cosa. Este trae un pecador de rodillas (donde estoy mucho últimamente!) Nos hace reconocer que Jesús es el Señor de todos, y no somos nosotros. Cuando enseño en las reos, el Salmo 107 es mi favorito. De vez en cuando veo un alto gringo encarcelado allí. Un ganador por todos los estándares mundano. Adinerado, buena apariencia, educado….. Atrapado ahora en una jaula con 50 delincuentes en un país del 3er mundo. Una pesadilla para cualquier gringo. La mayoría d e los gringos encarcelados nunca había fallado hasta entonces. Es una buena cosa! Porque ahora van a clamar al Señor, mientras que antes nunca hubiera ocurrido a ellos. Todavía siento por esos tipos sin embargo.
Salmo 107: 12 …….. que cayó al suelo, y no había nadie para ayudar. 13 Entonces clamaron a Jehová en su angustia, los libró de sus aflicciones.
Y, por supuesto, el verso que me trajo a mis rodillas, Impartido por mi Señor Jesús en Mateo 5: 3 3 Bienaventurados los pobres en espíritu, porque de ellos es el reino de los cielos.
Definición de un fracaso. “ALGUIEN que ha intentado hacer algo difícil”. Si usted no ha fallado nunca, ….. (mi resolución es dejar de decir cosas negativas y dañinas.)
Una buena noticia! Denis y sus hermanas , mediante Dios, se están devolviendo a un medio ambiente mejor y más seguro. Oren,…. Esto es extremadamente doloroso. No justo para nosotros, sino para todo el barrio.
Más buenas noticias! Si usted está confiando en la obra terminada de la cruz y la resurrección de Jesús, usted es un GANADOR!, Aun si usted piensa de sí mismo como un fracaso.Aun si el resto del mundo está de acuerdo con usted.
