Power

POWER (Lord’sPrayer Pt19) (Español abajo)
-Progress on the Winner home for at-risk girls see below-

Matthew 6:13 for Thine is the kingdom, the POWER..

A bullet is innocent enough.  Until you are at the receiving end of one that’s been fired.  I laugh at TV where the hero is hiding behind drywall or a couch for shelter when someone’s shooting at them. A normal bullet will easily penetrate a 6 inch thick tree or concrete block.  The power in that little bronze and lead thing is amazing, but it needs a little firing pin to unleash it by igniting the gunpowder inside.  Until it does that, a bullet is harmless.

The power of God needs to be unleashed in your life before it will work for you.  Once it is, WATCH OUT!

Power is Authority. When we recognize that all power (authority) is from God, we will be able to have His Power in our lives. Until we do that our lives are powerless.

Power to live a righteous life (righteous means right-ness). Power to live right. A righteous life adorns the Gospel, making others want to have a righteous life as well.  Just because you’re a believer, or even a leader in the church, doesn’t mean that you adorn the Gospel.  Most people do NOT have this power. They are saved, but powerless.  It’s available to all believers, but most do not appropriate themselves of it.  All they have to do is unleash God’s power which is available to them, and it’s all good. But they don’t for some reason.

Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise

Power (authority) to lead others. Anyone who doesn’t have the authority of God is simply faking it. They may be able to fool some people for a while, but fool is the key word.  They fool themselves, as well as others.

Psalm 14:1 The fool says in his heart, ‘ There is no God’

Power to lay hold of God’s faith. Faith comes from God. He gives is faith just as He gives us the power (authority) to USE IT!

James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? Faith without works is dead.

Or as I say, ‘faith with out works is worthless’. There is no faith without action.

Power to believe. Believing and faith go hand in hand. Almost the same word.

Faith is GOD’S to begin with;

Philipians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

and BOTH FAITH AND BELIEF ARE GIFTS FROM GOD.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9.

If you don’t believe or have faith, Ask God for it.

Mark 9:24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

Believing is not hoping. Hope is the opposite of belief and faith. Anyone can hope. Lottery systems are successful because of hopeful people. Dreamers and wishers are wishy-washy. It takes NO power to wish, hope and day dream. That is just as useless as sending out happy thoughts and good vibes. It is completely delusional to believe in your (or other’s) power of good thoughts. Believing and having faith in God takes power and authority from God Himself.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Power to turn the other cheek. Power to be born again, to change. Believe me, when someone pushes me or hits me (either physically or verbally) a whole nother Dean wants to raise his ugly head. It takes a lot of supernatural power for me to walk away from a fight. As a heathen I loved fighting. As a Christian I hate it. Salvation is going from darkness to light. I need God’s power to not fight, just as I need God’s supernatural power to leave the darkness and to love Him as well as everyone else.

Power to stoop down and help to the smaller people. Actually I call it the ‘Power to reflect God to others’. There’s a story of a little boy in a busy market place carrying a basket full of oranges. He dropped the basket and oranges rolled all over the place. The tiny little boy was crawling between all the people’s legs as they were hurrying along by the thousands. Some stepped on the oranges. Some stepped on the little boy’s fingers.  Some even angrily kicked him and yelled at him to get out of their way. Suddenly a big man stooped down and said ‘let me help you’. After filling the little boy’s basket and helped him up, the little boy asked the man ‘are you God’? ‘Nope!’ said the man, ‘I just believe in Him’

—–PROGRESS ON THE WINNER HOME—–
There really hasn’t been much ?, especially under ‘My Timeline’. Sometimes I wonder if I heard from God correctly. Again, the burden is on God, not on me.

It’s all about finances. The will is there ( both ours and the Lord’s as expressed in His written Word). However, we need a drastic increase in funds (over and above our already existing ministry expenses, which is a lot!) to make the necessary additions and improvements BEFORE we can even present it to the government. If we are destitute the government would be crazy to let us bring in kids to live with us.

We will need more staff (minimum 2 full time employees more) to do this (by law and for legal protection). We also need to show (1) sufficient income perpetually (an average over the past three months, about double what we are bringing in now. (2) An adequate vehicle. (3) A Nice Room for the children to live in.

We need to ‘sell’ this dream to the skeptical government. From some of these types if ‘homes’ in the past that we have personally seen, the government has good reasons to be cautious. The philosophy ‘bring in the kids and the money will follow’ is reckless, dangerous, exploitive and presumptuous.’ Good for television, not for real life on the mission field though.

Our goal WAS to have kids living here by my birthday in June 21, but it’s looking less and less realistic. That’s my date, but maybe not God’s. That’s the day I am officially retired according by social security standards. Lord willing I will be getting $1,290 a month, so that will really help PureHeart to step up the game. Retirement is a worldly term to me, not a Christian term. I will take the retirement money to help, not stop this labor of love.

We need large donations of money, materials and labor to get the home ready. We also need a different vehicle, and a steady increase in donations to provide for 5 or six more people (basically another young family).

STEP 1 is COMPLETED! Praise God!

Once we get the money we will move onto Step 2 but right now we are below broke from our normal day to day operations staring us in the face; God willing, we will get past this soon. We need a huge miracle and even more prayer.

Step 2. Installing a downstairs warehouse to hold everything from the warehouse which is now upstairs.

Step 3. Once the warehouse is cleaned out, we will put in a window up stairs, walls and another bathroom, thus turning the warehouse into a large dormitory for the girls.

4. We just found out by government that we will need a larger vehicle. Our 14 year old tucscon is on it ‘s last leg, and won’t legally hold Winnie and I and 5 girls. So we have to have a van.

Once all of that is done we are ready to bring in the little girl toddlers. Pray with us in the selection process of which little girls we will bring in. It will take time and we need to raise a lot to of money to do this (est overall expenses will be a little over 17,100 dollars PLUS 15,000 for a good used van, and also keeping on paying our 4000+ p/m basic operating expenses which will increase with housing 6-7 more people when the construction is completed) That needs to be another $1000 a month permanently. (so we need a steady month donation base of $5,000 a month)

Thats what the Lord we believe showed us, but we are always open to opinions and advice! Like I said, we could be wrong, but that’s the feeling that we get.

thank you once again!

PODER (Lord´sPrayer Pt19)

Si crees, no esperas.
