2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord
Although change is painful, it is an unavoidable reality of life. The world and her inhabitants are ever changing. People who don’t think they change are delusional. I recently talked to a high school friend who is trying desperately to live like he did in high school. He talks exactly the same way. Still searching for the ultimate buzz. It is sad, tragic and just plain odd to see a person who doesn’t think they’ve changed. Like a man with a toupee, the only person fooled is themselves.
The one thing that never changes is God. He has no beginning or end. Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not.
We as Christians change as we abide in the Lord. We don’t force ourselves to change. He does the changing for us!
In John 15:5 Jesus said “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”
Fruit is not a bunch of notches on your Bible or a head count at a church you started. I know some pastors personally who have started huge churches and show NO fruit.
In Galatians 5:22 you will find the fruit that Jesus is talking about…”But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,,,,” That is how you will change. You will grow in these areas when you truly abide in Christ.
Changes are necessary and usually very painful. Kids grow up leave home. People retire or change jobs. We move. We die. Once healthy people have to slow down. Systems don’t work and have to be changed or modified. Pretty people eventually wrinkle or get fat. We can embrace change or not.
One of the most dangerous quotes in English Language is ‘we’ve always done things this way’. Resisting change is a deadly career, relationship and dream killer. People who resist change will change anyway, so why fight it?
PureHeart is about making changes for the positive. For the elderly, change for their eternal life. Manolito in the picture above has been working with me for 3 decades. He just accepted the Lord. PureHeart counts fruit as in fruit produced by changes in the lives we impact. Eternal, life-changing fruit. The children we work with hopefully have a different outcome. We aim to change their futures on this life as well as eternal life. Again. life-changing eternal fruit
We as a 501c3 are in the middle of a very painful change. It is necessary for PureHeart to grow into the vision that God has set for us. We want to be able to help even more children in many more ways, on a permanent (generational) basis; but we have to go through a painful transition to get there. It will take a few months before we get back to normal again.
I say this transition is painful because it is at the worst possible time. Lots of medical bills for Winnie (thyroid), the motor on our only vehicle has cracked and all 4 tires are completely bald. Donations are slowing down (because of the bad press here), itnflation is hitting Nicaragua hard, and we are serving more people than ever due to the civil unrest and hundreds of thousands of lost jobs here.

Aunque el cambio es doloroso, es una realidad inevitable de la vida. El mundo cambia constantemente, y también nosotros. Las personas que no piensan que cambian son delirantes. Recientemente hablé con un amigo de la escuela secundaria que está tratando desesperadamente vivir como lo hizo en 1975. Él habla exactamente de la misma manera. Todavía esta buscando lo mejor bacanal. Triste, trágico y simplemente extraño ver a una persona que no cree que haya cambiado. Como un hombre con una peluca, la única persona engañada es a sí misma.
Hay uno que nunca cambia es Dios. Él no tiene principio ni fin. Malaquías 3: 6 Porque yo soy el Señor, no cambio;
Nosotros, como cristianos, cambiamos mientras permanecemos en él. Dios no nos obliga a cambiar, ¡Él cambia a nosotros!
Juan 15: 5 Jesús dijo: “Yo soy la vid, vosotros los pámpanos, el que permanece en mí y yo en él, él da mucho fruto, porque separados de mí no podéis hacer nada”.
La fruta no es un montón de marcas en su Biblia o un recuento de la cabeza en una iglesia que comenzó. Conozco personalmente a algunos pastores que han comenzado grandes iglesias y no muestran ninguna fruta.
Gálatas 5:22 es el fruto del que Jesús está hablando … Pero el fruto del Espíritu es amor, alegría, paz, paciencia, mansedumbre, bondad, fe … así es como cambiarás, crecerás en estas áreas cuando realmente amas a Cristo.
Los cambios son necesarios y generalmente muy dolorosos. La mayoría de los niños abandonan sus hogares. Las personas se jubilan o cambian de trabajo. Nos movemos o morimos. Las personas sanas tienen que reducir la velocidad de sus vidas. Los sistemas no funcionan y tienen que ser cambiados o modificados. Las personas bonitas se arrugan o engordan. Podemos abrazar el cambio o no.
Una de las citas más peligrosas en el idioma inglés es ‘siempre hemos hecho las cosas de esta manera’. Es un asesino de carreras, relaciones y sueños. Las personas que se resisten al cambio cambiarán de todos modos.
PureHeart está en medio de un cambio muy doloroso. Es necesario que PureHeart crezca en la visión que Dios ha establecido para nosotros, para poder ayudar a muchos más niños de muchas maneras más, de forma permanente (de generación en generación), pero tenemos que pasar por una transición dolorosa para llegar allí.
La contabilidad de PureHeart USA está pasando por un cambio, y pasarán al menos unos meses dolorosos antes de que volvamos a la normalidad nuevamente.
Será doloroso porque es el peor tiempo posible hacerlo-
