Recipe for STARTING a missionary work…. (lots of people ask, feel free to copyright, plagiarize or whatever.. if it means one kid getting into heaven it is worth it.)

first off this works for me… NO ONE KNOWS THE SITUATION THAT YOU ARE IN… do what God tells  you to do, not man, because man is despitefully wicked..

This is probably our 10th location where we started a missionary type teaching program for kids,, all programs are still in operation,, some 3 decades old,, we have helped start schools and orphanages all over the place…  not one place is closed… by their fruit you will know them.

1. start with a kid  and a genuine hug, or in my case, a weird joke.

2. Teach them a song  (now you have a handful of grommets hanging (literally) around you.         The more off key and less talent you have the better.  If someone sings the song JESUS LOVE ME (Jesus me ama), or el amor de Dios es marabilloso, o Tengo un amigo que me ama off key,, it works,, if they sing it beautifully, it looks ridiculous.

4.  Then teach them THE MESSAGE(by now, IF  you really love them, you are talking about 100)     Jesus paid it all.  There is NOTHING you can do to make God love you more nor less, HE LOVES YOU!  (Philip Yancey talking about his take the Bible and the Love of God.

5.  BE CONSISTENT!  Mission fields are filled with flakey people running from something.  Any weirdo can get excited about something for a week or a day… only a true believer will carry on with their work of LOVE long after the  national geographic phase of excitement wears off.  It is the hardest job you will ever love, as the peace corps kids say.

6.  Then teach the HOW TO….. applications for a new life in Jesus. (can not give what  you do not have).. classes such as salvation, a new life in Jesus,  TAKING CARE OF THE TEMPLE (cleanliness, rape prevention, evasion of trato blanco slave traders and narcos (they use these kids as mules) holiness, faith, belief….

yesterday for example, we had a competition…. on the take are of the temple theme CLEANLINESS

we realized THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL MATA CHANCHO CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE WORLD.. limpieza personal, personal hygene,, (MATA CHANCHO { PIG KILLER{ IS NICARAGUAN GANG TALK FOR DEODORANT,  we call it the PIG KILLER COMPETITION…

whoever came in TO EARTH that didn’t stink (recently bathed,hair combed,, not naked etc) got a prize…   i DID  NOT GET A PRIZE CAUSE I STUNK AND MY BACK HAIRS WERE UNRULY.

7. OH, BEFORE I FORGET,, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER IS THAT JESUS KNELT OR STOOPED DOWN WHEN HE TALKED TO CHILDREN,  BECAUSE TO HIM THEY WERE THE MOST IMPORTANT.. I SINCERELY DOUBT THE CREDIBILITY ANY PASTOR OR RELIGIOUS ENTITY IF THEY DON’T LIKE KIDS…. JESUS STOOPED DOWN TO BE AT THEIR LEVEL,, AND THEN HE MADE IT FUN,, MAKE IT FUN, ,AT THEIR LEVEL, NOT AT THEIR EXPENSE,.

8..  REALLY LOVE THEM,, THEY CAN SMELL A FAKE A MILE AWAY…

9.  TEACH KIDS TO WONDER AT CREATION, BY WONDERING AT CREATION

kind of crude, but it works,, the kids love it.
