Healing | What is the Love of God

Everyone believes in healing!

Jeremia17:14 Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.

When someone wants to tell you in the future that they don’t believe in healing, ask them if they ever skinned their knee. If they say yes, ask them if it’s still skinned. They’ll laugh but there’s a great truth to that. Everyone gets healed, and most times we don´t even notice it.

No one heals boo boos, only God does. Mommies kisses, doctors and band aids treat the systems but only God does the actual healing part. Even if they crushed the knee, and skilled surgeons operated on it, the surgeons didn’t heal the knee, God did.

There’s only two types of people on this planet. Those who believe in Jesus (trusting on Him to be saved) and those that don’t. Just as God cases the rain to fall on the believers and unbelievers (just and unjust Matthe5:45) God heals the believers and unbelievers as well. God is an equal opportunity healer. Jehovah Rapha (the God who heals) is His character. That’s what He loves to do. He wants to heal our spirits and our country as well as our boo boo.

Jesus was asked many times to heal people. He never said no. He said to believe, He said to have faith, but He never denied to heal someone. Whether it was a plea from a third party, or from the sick person, Jesus always healed. Like I said last week, Peter and Paul were used by Jesus to heal people just by a piece of their cloak of even their shadow Acts 5:15 and Acts 18:19.

God loves to heal, just as He loves to save. I have had great friends, spiritual giants die on me recently due to sickness. That does not keep me from praying for healings. I pray for believers to be healed as well as non believers. Sometimes they get healed. Most times they don’t. I am fully expecting that they get healed now, every time. When they don´t get healed, I am in shock. I take funerals a lot harder, and a lot more personally now. I also pray for many people to have their eyes of understanding to be opened so they can accept Jesus to be saved. Sometimes it works, most times it doesn’t. Very few of my battle buddies, schoolmates, friends and family have shown fruit of salvation salvation, and it surprises me. Why? Because I know sometimes God heals, and saves, in spite of my lack of faith. I know a lot of the fault lies with me. All I can do is get up, dust myself off, and pray again. I just keep on praying and interceding, making adjustments as I go along.

We are commanded to visit and pray for the sick. We are commanded to evangelize and pray for the lost. We don’t heal or save people, God does. It’s His character that heals and saves. Our part as born again Christians is to rebuke the illness and spiritual blinders placed by Satan in the name of Jesus and believe that it will be done as asked.

Sometimes God answers our prayers when we least expect it, in ways we never dreamed, with results that didn’t make sense. Usually the greatest miracles happen when it’s just me with the person I prayed for (no witnesses) so I don’t like to talk about them. One time, however there was a witness. Doug, a pilot from Calvary Chapel Merrit Island. He was with Marc Ivanchack, (Founder of WEGO and GraceLife) and I. We prayed for a young lady named ‘Leydis’. She hadn’t been able to walk in a long time, and her legs were completely atrophied. Literally, her legs at the ankles were starting to shrivel backwards because the leg muscles were non existant from lack of use We prayed for her half heartedly (not expecting much) and left. The next day, while we were eating breakfast, Leydis walked in and thanked us. That same night she returned the bars and the nightlife style I have lots of stories like this. Why? How? For what purpose? Who knows? I just know that God miraculously healed her, in spite of all three of us. God is, and will always be, sovereign.

No one has a ‘gift’ of healing. Doctors may be gifted with a talent from God (as a matter of fact, all talent comes from God). Any and all believers can pray for someone to be healed and God can heal them. No one however has the spiritual gift of supernatural healing. We all have it at our disposal, we just need to exercise our faith in Jesus for it, like anything else.

Here’s how you can exercise your faith in Jesus for a healing. First off, when you start getting sick, or a sniffle, reprehend it, in the name of Jesus. Believe that Jesus has the power to stop it in it’s tracks. Back aches, knee problems etc. same thing. Don’t going around saying you are getting a cold, getting sick, or have a bad back or a bum knee. Remove that negative talk from your vocabulary. Someone sick? Hush up their negative talk, lay your hands on them and tell the sickness or pain to leave in the mighty name of Jesus, BELIEVING. Explain to them why they should be believing as well.You are putting yourself out on a limb, I am doing so just by writing this, but I think that´s the idea.

Proverbs 18:21 The tongue has the power of life and death.

I have been really exercising this healing type of faith in Jesus for almost 4 years now. Not only in myself, but in the children we serve and staff. Manuel ( my right hand man for almost 30 years) got saved was healed from cancer of the pancreas. I haven’t so much as had a sniffle since I started this phase.

Not one death from COVID, and only a handful of light cases (that I am aware of) among the 6000+ people that PureHeart ministers to directly or their families. Also, because of resources and availability, hardly no one uses masks in the dump, and only 2 people in the ministry are vaxed) I am not getting political or bragging. It’s just an observation.

My friends that I mentioned, that passed away recently, were much better Christians and greater men of God that I could ever hope to be, but this is just the way it is. I am here to say that there is just a lot to the Christian life than I assumed there was for the many years that I have been saved. I am journalling about this a lot because it fascinates me, increases my prayer life, hunger for His Word, passion for the lost/hurting and love for Jesus.

At PureHeart, we get lots of opportunities to pray for the mentally ill, physically ill, broken hearted, injured, unemployed, addicted and hurting. As a result, with the more faith we have, the greater results we see. I love praying for others and am shocked when they aren’t healed or don’t get saved. Not only do I pray for them, I seek medical attention for them as well, or anything else I can possible do to help them. And I try my best to keep them in my prayers afterwards. The spiritually lost as well. Pray in faith, believing for the lost, sick or hurt. That’s God’s will for us. That should be in our newborn character.

Mark 11:24 : Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them].

CHRISTMAS PRESENTS THIS YEAR! SINCE WE ARE ON OUR OWN FOR CHRISTMAS PRESENTS, GOD HAS AGAIN PROVIDED FOR 1,000 CHRISTMAS PRESENTS THROUGH RAIN AND NICA SOURCE (NICARAGUAN NEAR SHORE IT COMPANIES). THANK YOU JESUS! WHAT KIND OF CHRISTIAN CHILDREN MISSION DOESN’T GIVE CHRISTMAS PRESENTS AT CHRISTMAS TIME? MERRY CHRISTMAS!

1. Our new room, and warehouse expnasion is almost completed, God is good! Needing to install the ceiling, AC and we are finished. We had some issues but we should be done in two weeks.

2. I am having a video made, it should be out shortly.

3. Pray for Luis, his leg is bad! A lot better than it was, but still bad. God is healing him, as you can see, but I need a miracle for him.

4. English class, Daily Bible studies, school and feeding centers are all going well.

Pureheart Update – All is well, finishing up the new room and warehouse. We are painting, repairing the school´s classrooms, bathrooms, (lots of plumbling and electrical stuff going on) and we are improving our school’s computer abilities.

4. FOR OUR 2 FEEDING CENTERS AND THE TWO OTHER FEEDING CENTERS THAT WE HELP. FOR OUR SISTER FEEDING CENTER IN ISLAMBAD PAKISTAN.

5. AS WE ARE HELPING OTHERS WITH EMERGENCY CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS *THIS CONTINUOUS RAINY SEASON DESTROYS THE SHACKS THAT MANY OF OUR PEOPLE LIVE IN*. THAT WE BE THE LIGHT AND PEACE OF JESUS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STORM.

7. GOVERNMENTAL PAPERWORK, I CALL IT ´DEATH BY 1000 PAPERCUTS’. IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT, FRUSTRATING, AND EXPENSIVE. AMONG OF WHICH IS FOR PERMISSION TO HAVE AN ORPHANAGE-OLDFOLKS HOME ON A SUSTAINABLE GREEN FARM IN THE MANAGUA CITY LIMITS. THIS IS THE 4TH TIME IN TEN YEARS THAT WE HAVE HAD TO START AGAIN FROM SCRATCH EVERYTHING FROM ALL THE ACCOUNTING, BOOKS, AND PERMISSIONS FOR THE ORPHANAGE. EVEN FORECED INTO REINCORPORATING DOWN HERE. IT GETS TOUGHER EVERY TIME, BUT WE AREN´T GOING ANYWHERE. THE LEGAL AND CPA PAPERWORK AND ACCOUNTABILITY IS ESPECICALLY TOUGH.

8. THE DELAY IS OK, BECAUSE WE ARE STILL WAITING ON THE LORD TO PROVIDE THE MONEY AND THE PERFECT RESOURCES FOR ALL THE FULL TIME STAFF, DOCTOR, NURSE, AIDES ETC THAT COME WITH A FARM THAT HAS ROOM FOR AN ORPHANAGE AND AN OLD FOLKS HOME ON IT, AS WELL AS THE PROPERTY ITSELF. EVEN WITH JUST AN ORPHANAGE HERE, OUR STAFF WILL ALMOST HAVE TO DOUBLE IN SIZE PER NICARAGUAN REGULATIONS

9. FOR OUR OWN CHILDREN`S SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND SAFETY WHILE STUDYING IN THE STATES.

10. AGAIN, THE GOVERNMENTAL PAPERWORK IS HORRENDOUS, AND GETTING MORE DIFFICULT AND EXPENSIVE EVERY DAY.
