2 choices, serve the devil or serve the Lord.
Matt 22:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Two can be combined or mixed. We just went over the 2 commandments which were basically the same. Salt water and fresh water mix, making all of it salt water. Leaven mixes with flour making all the dough leavened. One little sin in the life of a saint (who has never sinned, ever!) makes the saint a sinner in need of a Saviour. 2 becomes one in marriage. We chose to get married to have a spouse, to love a cherish, through sickness and health, ‘til death do us part. We become one. We can choose to continue to remain single, or to be married. If we don’t choose to be married, we are already single, and will remain so.
Usually 2 divides though and calls for a decision. In sales we never gave two options, but always three. Two choices can lead to confusion and doubt and ultimately paralysis. Before GPS, did you ever come to a T in the road? You could have sat there for an hour, scratching your head on which way to go, left or right. If it’s a 3 way split in the road it’s easy, just go the way that’s straightest ahead. A decision to follow God or not, is always a T in the road, never a third option. A choice between one of two things. Follow God or not. If you don’t make a Decisión to follow God, you will follow Under the category of not following God by default.
God only gives us two options, and God is a LOT smarter than a salesman, or even that brilliant lady, Dr. Gladys West, who invented the GPS. God wants us to figure it by reading the Bible, and decide to follow Him. He desires us to labor at and get past the confusion, to make own our decision to follow Him to salvation or not. Free will is always in play. We all have to make the difficult decision to follow Jesus or not! It may mean to go Against what we were taught, against traditional religion, against our Friends, family and parents even, but I for one, have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back!
“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12)
The Bible is clear, old wine in a new skin, iron mixed with clay, a new patch on an old cloth, oil and water don’t mix. Don’t try to mix it, instead make a decision. Joshua did!
“choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served in the region beyond the River, (old tired religions, rights, traditions?) or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; (trying To fit in to this present dark world) but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15)
Making a decision is hard, not making one is harder. Not making a decision is making a decision. We are already in the darkness before we got saved, we were born into it. No decision is needed to go to hell. We need to choose Jesus!
John 3:19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
Everything we do that really matters is a decision between two things. To do what is right or not. To believe or not. To obey or not. To run to the beautiful light, or stay and rot in the infectious darkness.
There are only two higher (invisible) powers, Jesus or Satan. Someone says they have a higher power, or a light, or a guiding angel or spirit and deny Jesus, they are being guided to hell by Satan and his demons.
You are either a born again (John 3:3) son of God, or a son of the father or lies, Satan.
There are only two types of people, believers (of Jesus) and unbelievers.
There are only two destinations after we die, eternal heaven for believers, eternal hell for non-believers.
It’s really that easy. I pray we all make the right decision.
Matthew 27:38 Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.
Who was the good one? The one that went to heaven? Nope! They were both thieves. One chose Jesus, (believer) and went to heaven, the other didn’t make a decision (unbeliever) and went to hell.
again you don’t have to deny Jesus to go to hell. Just not accepting Him (receiving Him, believing ON Him) by default Makes you a non-believer.
We at PureHeartChildren’sFund chose to follow Jesus, help the poor with food, medicine and schooling. Our goal is to help people to believe. (A hungry belly has no ears).
we also chose to obey God and start an OANSA/ AWANA in our Winnerclub. We had a choice to obey, or not! We chose life for the children in our neighborhood!
Here’s a video of our first day https://youtu.be/EtqCgkOOjYc
What I’ve learned this year, it helped me, and will help you as well with other decisions.
-If you text, call, visit and still get ignored, just walk away.
-True relationship comes when the silence between two people is comfortable.
-You still haven’t met all of the people who are going to love you.
-If today is not your day, remember a year has 365 days.
The only things good for you to quit are sin. Booze, weed, hard drugs, gluttony, laziness are all good to quit. Decide to quit those today.
Don’t quit the good things
Decide to postpone such an evil decision, even for a day. If you resist the devil and he will flee
◄ James 4:7 ►
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you
Winners never quit and quitters never win
