Overcomer

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

In all the Chistian homes I have visited my my life, I have yet to see this verse stuck on a refrigerator, haha, but it resonates with me.

First off, we as Christians are not the overcomers, but rather Christ within us is the overcomer. The Great News is that we are being conformed into the OVERCOMER’S image day by day.

I am really struggling this year with the graduation message to PureHeartChildren’sFund students and their parents.  This year, I am not led to tell their parents to stop sinning and everything will be ok.  Many times our messages are ‘how to live a Christian life’ and ‘how to be happy’ but this year is heavier for some reason.  My past 5 years have been horrific, and so I worry that maybe I am becoming jaded. Plus the world is in a free fall right now spiritually.  Who knows how long the Lord will tarry.  Meanwhile things can get very ugly very fast.

Luke 21:28. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Times are tough, the future of America and the world we as we know it are getting bleaker every day.  Floods, wars, rumors or war, evil abounding, things are not good.  Having a positive mental attitude won’t help you.  My main reason for being a missionary, for writing this, isn’t to get a donation.  It’s to make sure you are saved.  When you are saved, you are an overcomer.

We teach how people should be, but aren’t very good at teaching how to get there.  Many pastors try to teach how to get there, none of us really know how to.  The more I try to teach how to be, the more unequipped I feel.  Only the Word of God can teach that.  I am not a scholar,, but I work with what I have.   And I try to teach the kids and staff the same.

I know one thing, we are here to teach this, because otherwise, what are we doing?  What is the future of the kids we work with without teaching them how to walk the Christian life.  I have a very poor reading capability.  Our kids are mostly illiterate.  I try to the best of my abilities, to teach them how to become more like Christ, because through Christ (the Overcomer) we are more than conquerors.

Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

In courses I took on how to survive interrogations and resist an escape, you automatically failed if you gave up trying.  The key to basic survival, business, parenting, marriage, and Christianity is to overcome the desire to quit. You don’t quit if you are an Overcomer. Spiritually, and physically.  Roger (in the picture above) was blown up with a hand grenade when we first got here.  Now he’s a professional!  He has so many reasons to quit, he he ain’t got no quit in him,  If you overcome the will to stop trying you are becoming true to your core, which is Jesus Christ. As you are becoming confirmed to Christ’s image you are becoming an overcomer!

Romans 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

We as Christians overcome temptations and urges to quit every day.  We do this by keeping our eyes on the Overcomer, through Word, prayer, fellowship and worship.  As we walk towards Jesus (the Christian life is a daily walk, not a sprint) we become more and more like Him.   At PureHeartChildren’sFund that’s what we do.  We walk towards Jesus and try to teach the kids to walk towards Jesus.  The final outcome is up to them, but our job is to teach them to overcome.

Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

100% Tax free donations are MATCHED until January 2023

Donations areSOOOOO NEEDED.  Please help us to feed and educated impoverished children in Central America anc the Mideast.  We are struggling.  Last weeks donations (during our busiest month) came in at 217 dollars 😞. People insinuate that Inlack faith by sharing this.  But it was reconfirmed when I taught a few days ago about Jacob.  God did’t just make money fall from heaven on him.  He made Jacob wealthy by showing him to put white sticks by the water where the sheep bred.  God showed me to let our ministry’s needs by Facebook. But I Lost All But One FaceBook Account. It’s A Miracle I Still Have This One.
