Isaiah 24:20 KJV: “The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard”
I used to think this verse meant that in the last days world was going to be knocked off of its axis or something. Maybe because of earth quakes or atomic bombs. But it doesn’t mean that.
We know that the earth’s perfect temperature system, gravity, tides, even our bodies have to do with the constant rotation of the earth (gravity) and distances to moon and sun (temperature and gravity). One variation would be catastrophic. We’d all be wiped out instantaneously from one seemingly minimal deviation what God has ordained through His perfect wisdom.
In the Bible, “earth” and ‘world’ means the physical planet. That’s our dwelling place. It’s God’s creation, and a place for us to live and to take care of to the best of our abilities. But ‘earth’ or ‘world’ in the Bible also mean this planet’s entire population. It’s people, human beings like us.
Mark 16:15 And He (Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. (people, not dogs)
It would be difficult to preach the Gospel to Mt. Everest or to whales. It refers to preaching the Gospel to all the human inhabitants of the world, those with human ‘ears in order to hear’. “The earth”, or “the world”, is a stage for God’s redemptive plan. And in the end days, the world’s going to be like a drunk (which to me is the worst insult).
Because I work with at-risk children (children at-risk of child prostitution, white slavery (trato blanco, trafficking), gangs, incest, muling drugs or alcoholism) by default, we work with advanced drunks in the street which are their moms and dads.
More than once have I stumbled and wrestled with drunks in our house. I even have stumbled upon Winnie once as she was wrestling with a drunken bum trying to protect a woman we had sheltered here. She’s extremely strong, I was impressed! Love her so much! Haha
We are alcoholics’ and drug addicts’ ambulances, either to rehab, the ER, the police station or the morgue. One guy was throwing up his liver during breakfast. Always ugly, always miserable dealing with these guys. They all call me Pastor, but I see very few results.
That’s why I don’t drink at all. Although it seems to be the mode of a lot of ‘hip’ Christians lately to have wine and beer, I am not impressed. I have no idea why, Paul says to not permit our freedom to trip others who are weaker. I have to be able to look at the drunks in their eyes and honestly tell them I do not drink, ever. A social wine or beer now and then? NO WAY! Every Christian should be able to say that. We all should be evangelizing the lost. I don’t drink or smoke (as much as I want to) in order to be honest and to keep my testimony, no. Never! (Except at night in my dreams. I fall off the wagon in my dreams and drink and smoke, even from the pulpit while I am preaching).
Advanced alcoholics are very aggravating. Always staggering, uncoordinated, and worse than that they are ridiculously arrogant and manipulating. They are blind, impaired mentally, very unreasonable and just plain idiotic. They smell like excrement, urine and vomit. 0 self and bodily control. Impulsive. Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Oh, and they’re dying. Their god, alcohol, is consuming them. And alcoholics love to recruit by the way. So do Christians who drink.
Looking at all the protesters in the streets worldwide, (except for exceptions like Iran, and other patriots around the world), the protesters remind me of incontinent homeless drunks. Changing their minds every week. One week climate control then move to murdering babies. Another week trying to free and support terrorists, murderers and pedophiles. Another week to protect dolphins.
Completely delusional and dangerous. Even told one of them you have a different opinion? They don’t even know what they want. All are fighting the air for some ’cause’ which they know absolutely nothing about. Always Evil. How many protests anti-abortion, Oct 7, or Iran. They have a bunch of evil causes, which change daily.
James 1:8 a double minded man is unstable in all his ways
They follow leaders who have been caught stealing and proven to be selfish. Narcissistic Idols, who are profiteers not worrying about anyone but themselves. Many have been proven to be mentally ill, insane, special needs and or mentally incapacitated to the level of ‘special needs’. The drunken world blindly follows them because they are full of arrogance, hate and evil. They are against God. They actually believe in nothing. They are in the dark. Following anger, hate and pleasure only. No self control.
All leaders of these protesters are in it only for big business, although they say business (and work even) are bad. The drunkard double minded people can’t see the truth because they have no light in them, so no absolute truth, which normal people use as a guide. These protesters are dust in the wind. Their god, the angry god of hatred is consuming them. Oh, and these angry, crazy, hateful people love to recruit! If someone is trying to make you hate someone, anyone, walk away!
We at Millions Of Friends (we had to change our name unfortunate for political reasons) have been doing exactly the same thing for 30 plus years, for the Honor and Glory of Jesus Christ. We only want to hear Jesus say ‘well done, good and faithful servant’
Matthew 25:23 His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little, I will put you in charge of many things
We’re all called to do different things. Some are called to be good mommys and daddys. Some are called to be professionals, or mechanics and plumbers. Teachers, preachers, factory workers, Sunday School teachers (my favorite) all are being obedient to Jesus’ calling. No one is called to be disobedient or rebellious. Some are called to be millionaires in order to help people like Winnie and me in our foundation of Millions of Friends. We even provide a tax write off. We’re all called by God specifically to help at-risk children and their families. We serve and help about 6,000 people. We’re drunk with the passion to serve others and to bring them to heaven with us.
Unfortunately, as of yet, we haven’t seen nearly enough conversions, (although I do not believe in head counting or notches in my Bible.) I wonder what I am doing wrong?
That’s what we’re devoted to, helping others and sharing the Gospel to the ‘Whosoevers’. My son called me a giving addict when he was little. In reality we are people addicts.
1 Cor 16:15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
Our job, as it has always been, is helping the ‘helpless’ to know Jesus and follow His light instead of being recruited by this evil world and the people in it. Innocence is always a target. I think that’s why God put at-risk children on our hearts. Their hearts and minds are so pure (even if they are already in prostitution). Their parents are either full blown alcoholics, dying or gone. It’s a long uphill battle, but worth it! There are tremendous opportunities now because so many childrens ministries have been closed down here. (Approximately 5,000). What a joy it being able by providence to fight this continuous war for souls!
We are light for these children (and their family and parents), because we have Jesus in us and are guided by the Holy Spirit. We have the light of Jesus and His Word to show & illuminate their paths. We teach them the Word and how to live and trust Jesus. Jesus is the light of the world! Our only hope for the lost children and parents is to get them into light, through the love and salvation that only Jesus Christ can offer.
Meanwhile the protestors, and the rest of the lost and dying are stumbling like drunkards to their deaths in the darkness.
