Psalm 100:4 Enter with the password: “THANK YOU!”
Ok, the scripture that I took this from was in the Message. It isn’t the inspired Word of God, but the way Eugene put it blessed me. The 1st password to enter is THANK YOU!
Passwords are important. They let you in. In the army, my buddies got shot at because they came back at night and forgot the password. Passwords are to keep the bad guys out. Both in the military, and with computers. I have 7 Facebook accounts (most have them closed), 6 LinkedIn, 4 Instagram, 3 TikTok, 6 Pinterest, plus 3 VA health and medical accounts.
The reason I have so many is that I forget my passwords! I can’t remember them, or I write them down wrong! So, I must start over with a new account. I use THANK YOU in some way a lot for my password because I love the Lord and say THANK YOU to HIM almost continuously. You enter into God’s presence with THANK YOU. Every day of a true Christian’s life is THANKSGIVING DAY. It’s not just 1 day a year in November where everyone eats themselves into a sugar coma and spends the rest of the day on the couch watching some sports thing on TV.
Has anyone had as many issues as possible getting in to see the doctor recently?
In a world filled with stress and angst, “THANK YOU” is the greatest password to friendships, relationships, business, and most importantly when we worship. We have so much to say “THANK YOU” for! One little “THANK YOU” goes a long way. Get into the habit of saying THANK YOU for everything, even for getting into a computer. THANK YOU in Spanish is Gracias. Grace in Spanish is Gracia. So there are lots of ways to use THANK YOU in your password.

There’s a book called the e-myth. It’s about how internet and computers, instead of speeding things up, really make everything slower and hinder us. Instead of making things easier, they make it harder. Now, instead of 1 password you need 2 (Case in point, just wasted 2 hours of my life that I will never get back trying to check my bank account. Remembered the 1st password, but not the second). Not complaining, it’s just a fact. We have a lot to be THANKFUL FOR: money in the checking account, electricity and internet for the time being, so life goes on and is a blessing… IF YOU REMEMBER THE PASSWORD! Another verse from the Message.
Psalm 89:15 MSG Blessed are the people who know the passwords of praise, who shout on parade in the bright presence of God.
The best passwords are easy to remember. I keep them as simple as possible. My house is like the grand central station. If I wrote down my password in a notebook, the notebook is gone the next day. If I write it on the wall, (like I did when we lived by ourselves, someone invariably paints over it, always) No thievery here, just people grab stuff to write something down and don’t put it back where it was. That’s IF I can find a pen as well! Pens are like gold. They do tend to walk. Not complaining again, just the reality of GENUINE ministry. If you are a true minister of the Gospel, you are going to have a lot of ‘whosoevers’ in your house. Writing down passwords is not going to happen.
The key is to keep passwords as simple as possible. The 1st password to a successful Christian life is ‘THANK YOU’ despite the circumstances. God sees that, and especially appreciates it through tears and turmoil. That’s what’s called the sacrifice of praise. ‘THANK YOU, Lord, in spite of what’s going on’.
Psalm 107:21-22 for his unfailing love. Let them give thanks to the Lord and his wonderful deeds for mankind. Let them sacrifice thank offerings and tell of his works with songs of joy.
Another necessary password is ‘PLEASE’. “PLEASE” (the 2nd password) shows humility. “PLEASE” shows that you are not the boss. “PLEASE” also means to make your boss, the person you’re serving. Saying “PLEASE” to everyone, including the Lord, makes life easier. It’s pleasing to the ears. It’s a great password to open doors. Also saying “PLEASE” is a good way to PLEASE God.
“PLEASE & THANK YOU” are twins. They work very handily with each other. Nicaraguans, as a culture, have a real problem with saying those. I believe that it is one of the underlying problems here where these words are not taught very emphatically to children. When one child, or adult, for that matter says “PLEASE & THANK YOU” to me, it warms the cockles of my heart! That person stands out to me. Saying ‘PLEASE’ to God will please God, just like it will please anyone else. Contrary to some, you can not command God to do anything. PLEASE and THANK YOU go a long way with God too.
Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
The final password (the 3rd) is the most important password. It is the door to heaven and eternal life. Almost all my passwords have this name in it as well, in one way or another. ‘JESUS!!!’ Why are you going to heaven? Because of JESUS! Why do you deserve to go to heaven? Because of JESUS. Who can wash away all your sin and forgive you?? Only JESUS! Peter said it best when Jesus’ church dwindled down from close to 20,000 to 12 in a few short minutes. Jesus said to Peter, are you going to leave me too? Peter replied…
