Action

Action! (Español abajo)
aka ‘Faith that does nothing  is worthless’

John 5:7 “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”

Although praying in an action verb, it really isn’t action.

Many types of teams come down to visit us here in Managua.  My favorite type of team is an ‘action team’.  We have a group of Canadians down here.  They are all about action.  I have had teams down here that just prayed and read the Bible the whole time they were here.  While I love praying and reading the Bible, I usually do it alone, in secret.  When you do it in front of people it can be awkward. Especially when you’re surrounded by fresh faces who want to meet you, people who need real interaction and love.  There’s a time to pray and a time to act.   I much prefer an action team who prayed before coming.

Once a person who claimed to be a non-believer(?) complained to me that God lets bad things happen because He controls it all.   Overlooking the fact that he claimed to not believe in God, he is confused.  Most of what happens in this world is a result of our actions and our prayers (or lack thereof).

Throughout the Bible, God tell us to choose life or death, blessing or curse.  You choose to believe then you act on it.  The Israelite priests had to put their feet into the roaring river before it stopped.  The paralyzed man’s friend had to cut a hole in the roof before Jesus healed him.  With or without us acting, God’s will WILL be done, if not through us, through someone else.  I want God to use me personally though, I don’t want ‘the rocks to have to cry out’!I

The act of faith gives action to the power of belief!

In John 5 the angel troubled to water but the sick had to move it, to step in.  It wasn’t up to God, it was up to the sick.

1. We talk to God and hear from Him (prayer)

2.  We act upon what He shows us to do.

The old testament talks about the Israelites facing a huge army.  They were afraid and prayed about it.  God said ‘Go! I will fight for you’.  Instead of going, they just kept praying.  In the Living Word Bible, Godsaid ‘stop praying and march!’

Just acting like you have faith (feigned faith) without actually believing will get you killed. The Israelites cried to God when the Egyptians were closing into them. God opened the sea and they marched through the divided waters.  The Egyptians tried it, without FAITH in God, and they died.

We need Faith and Action.

A faith that does nothing is worth nothing.  Even demons believe in God.

There are two kinds of faith.

Faith with action, God’s Type of Faith

Faith without action, Demon’s Faith. The world’s full of it.

Seek God’s faith.

2. Fe sin acción, Fe del demonio. El mundo está lleno de eso.

Busca el fe de Dios
