Yeah, that’s right! I said the little -c- word, cause I don’t have to think about it any more.
Luke 4:39 And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.
Jesús was with me the whole time. I was just as close to the Lord in pre-op as well as post-op. Coming here, leaving there, Jesus is always there, standing over us, not as a demanding overseer but as a loving father. And He rebuked the cancer and the cancer left (he used Dr Wolf’s hands). Dr Wolf did the surgery but only God heals! Then, I am immediately getting up and going to minister. Yader Ruth Flores have the final word on that too, and the Nicaraguan government as well.
Like a dear friend said, ‘just a bump in the road’. Life in general is filled with bumps and detours. You can spend it in the arms of Jesus in total peace, or you can try to make it out for yourself, scared senseless. We had a hurricane on top of my cancer surgery, not a hitch. We live in a condo so just lots of noise. Like with cancer, I was in Jesus so everything else is just lots of noise.
Results from pathology show that there is no evidence that the cancer has spread, nor is in any other part of the body. Praise Him. And all the lessons I’ve learned along the way are life changing. The biggest lesson (beside the humbling effect some of this stuff has on us) is that God is always there, never changing, and if we just lay back and relax He does everything.
As I went to the mission field, bosses, coworkers, family members and even great friends (which are the best) all teamed me out for going. They ridiculed me for not having backing, health insurance, savings, or retirement plans of any kind, but I knew God was calling me. He has not changed. When you’re young, looking down the road 30 years from now is really very ineffective. Now I am here, 30 years later and God (through His Holy Spirit) has been more real and more consistent than all my bosses, coworkers, friends and family put together. All those people are great, but a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is so much more! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!! Truly He is so good to me.
So, barring any problems with the government I hope to be home around the 18th or 19th of October
Although I can not wait to go home, I dread saying good by to my great friends here in Miami
Praising God, in the chaos of the temporary He is our eternal Abba Father.
