Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
What is holiness? What does a holy person look like? Many people, including myself, picture a holy person as an extremely uptight, judgmental, unapproachable person who is more heavenly minded than earthly good. That image is created by people who want to project themselves as being holy, but are far from it. A person who is saved is holy automatically because he has accepted Jesus’ holiness to take away our sins, and now they are reborn, free from sin. If you aren’t saved you aren’t holy. To be saved you must be born again, then you are holy and willing live a life of pureness and holiness.
Bill Bright from Campus Crusade for Christ always said that the Christian Cross is the perfect symbol for Christianity. The horizontal part represents our relationship with our fellow man (peace with all men) and the vertical part represents our relationship with God (perfection in the eyes of God *which includes peace with men*. In other words HOLINESS).
Many years before Jesus’ arrival at earth, God gave very clear instructions (through Jesus, the Word of God) on how to build the Holy Of Holies, where He lived in the times of the Law. It was a completely holy place for the Lord, because in Him is no darkness, and He can’t abide sin. It was a place so holy that only one person, the high priest could only go in, and that was once a year. He wore bells and had a rope tied around him to pull him out because if he had hidden sin, he would die in the presence of The Lord’s holiness.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death;
The curtain of the Holy of Holies was 20 feet high and 4 inches thick.
It separated God in the Old Testament days from man.
When Jesus finally gave up His Ghost and died on the Cross, God immediately tore the curtain from top to bottom and left the Holy of Holies forever to dwell in the hearts of those who have received Jesus as their personal Savior.
Mathew 27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom;
Jesus’ supreme sacrifice paid the wages of sin on our behalf because He had no sin. We do, and deserve to die. But He loves us so much that He, the Son of God, God the Son, died in our place. God loves us so much also, that He wants a relationship with us, leaving the Holy of Holies to dwell within us and to live with us eternally.
Romans 6:23 …but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Holiness reflects in our attitude towards God and our attitude to others. Our attitude towards God is revealed on how strenuously we fight against sin and temptation in our personal lives. Our attitude towards people boils down to if we love them or not. If you don’t like people or even want to spend time with them, are you really holy (saved)? Are you really living a life of holiness like God requires in order to see Him? Lots of sects and religious people think that other people are a distraction, but they don’t understand God, and they are in dangerous waters. Not only is it impossible to have a relationship with God if you don’t love people (not just in words, but in actions), but you are a bad testimony of God because;

God is Love
God left His Holy of Holies once Jesus handled the sin problem. He took the holiness that once only belonged in the Holy and Holies and gave it to us, His children; Reaching out, genuinely loving on and chatting with a little street kid about kid stuff is just as holy as reading the Bible on Christmas Eve surrounded by other Christians or negotiating for world peace from the WhiteHouse. Big or small, we all have our responsibilities of holiness that only we can fill as individuals. Our holiness depends on what we do in the situation we are in. God will show us, and we will follow if we are His.
We at Pureheart Pre-k and PureHeartChildren.org feeding centers are doing what God is showing us to do. Above the churches, schools and feeding centers that we already have, and are helping, we are being guided from God to do more. We feel that He is guiding us to get the room and permissions to receive children off of the street and have a shelter for them.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Here’s a list of what we need to be able to bring in kids off of the street. Things were brought to light, and respecting wise counsel we need to put in safe guards.
1. 2 large additions to the home (18,000)
2. Furnishings and fixtures (3,000)
3. Intercom and surveillance (2,000)
4. Extra staff (which is an additional 650/m increase in giving)

Santidad
Hebreos 12:14 Sigue la paz con todos los hombres y la santidad, sin la cual nadie verá al Señor:
¿Qué es la santidad? ¿Cómo se ve una persona santa? Muchas personas, incluyéndome a mí mismo en el pasado, imaginan a una persona extremadamente tensa, santurón e inaccesible, que tiene una mentalidad demasiada celestial. Esa imagen es creada por personas que quieren proyectarse como santas, pero están lejos de la verdad. Una persona que es salva es santa automáticamente porque hemos aceptado la santidad de Jesús para quitar nuestros pecados. Para ser salvo debes nacer de nuevo, entonces eres santo y vivirás una vida de santidad.
Bill Bright de Campus Crusade for Christ siempre dijo que la Cruz Cristiana es el símbolo perfecto para el cristianismo. La parte horizontal representa nuestra relación con nuestro prójimo (paz con todos los hombres) y la parte vértice, que es nuestra relación con Dios (santidad).

La cortina del Lugar Santísimo tenía 20 pies de alto y 4 pulgadas de grosor. Separó a Dios en el Antiguo Testamento del hombre. Cuando Jesús murió, Dios inmediatamente rasgó la cortina de arriba abajo y dejó el Lugar Santísimo para siempre para morar en los corazones de aquellos que recibieron a Jesús como su Salvador personal.

Cuando Jesús murió, pagó la paga del pecado en nuestro nombre porque El no tenía pecado, nosotros sí, y merecemos morir. Pero Él nos ama tanto que Él, el Hijo de Dios, Dios el Hijo, murió en nuestro lugar. Dios también nos ama tanto, que quiere una relación con nosotros, dejando el Lugar Santísimo para vivir en nosotros y con nosotros, eternamente.
Romanos 6:23 … pero el don de Dios es la vida eterna a través de Jesucristo nuestro Señor.
Ves, parte de la santidad es nuestra actitud hacia Dios. Otra parte de la santidad es nuestra actitud hacia los demás. Si a ti no te gustan a las personas y no quieres pasar tiempo con ellas, ¿eres realmente un santo? Santo es decir salvo. ¿Estás realmente viviendo una vida de santidad como Dios requiere para poder verlo? Muchas sectas falsas y religiosos creen que las personas son una distracción, pero no entienden a Dios y están en peligro.
No solo es imposible tener una relación con Dios si no amas a las personas (no solo en palabras, sino en acciones), sino que eres un mal testimonio de Dios porque;

Dios abandonó Su Lugar Santísimo una vez que Jesús arregló el problema del pecado.
Sentarse, amar de verdad y conversar con un niño de la calle sobre cosas de niños es tan sagrado como leer la Biblia en la víspera de Navidad rodeado de otros cristianos o negociando por la paz mundial desde la Casa Blanca. Grandes o pequeños, todos tenemos nuestras responsabilidades que solo podemos cumplir como individuos. Nuestra santidad depende de lo que hagamos en la situación en la que nos encontremos. Dios nos lo mostrará y lo seguiremos si somos suyos.
