2 Cor 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Light is not always a good thing. When I got hit in the face all I saw was a blinding light. Still do every now and then. In Mexico, the bandidos had a spotlight in the back of their pickups. At night, when you’re driving behind them, they turn on the spotlight and you are blinded and drive into a ditch. Concentrated light is a laser beam. Ever start a fire with a magnifying glass, a plastic bag of water or a glass coke bottle?
Many people I witness to say they had a vision in order to contradict what the Bible says. Almost always, the visions begin with a bright light. Don’t fall for it. If it doesn’t line up with the Holy Word of God, it’s extra Biblical. It’s satanic. Adding to the Word of God is evil and brings curses. In the beginning of the Bible is a stern warning.
Deut 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Also, the warning about adding to, or subtracting from the Word of God, is included in the middle of the Bible.
Prov 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, Lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
And also at the end of the Bible
Revelation 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
The Bible says two or more witnesses are required to see if something is from God. A vision of light doesn’t qualify as anything. Here’s three witnesses directly taken out of the Bible! That totally qualifies as straight from God.
A bright light before a revelation or vision is usually something satanic. Although it looks like light, it isn’t pure. It’s just lighter than usual. Light as opposed to complete darkness, for sure. But there are still shades of darkness in it. It’s evil. It doesn’t take much to turn good into evil. You know how much salt is in the ocean? Only 3.5% but it tastes like 100%. Just a little bit.
As opposed to Satan’s tarnished light, God’s light doesn’t have even one particle of darkness in it. Not a hint of evil. Pure light, no shades of anything else. Darkness can not prevail against it, according to John, (the disciple that Jesus loved the most). Dark runs away from light. Turn on a light in a dark room, you’ll see the darkness shrink back if your eyes are quick enough.
1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Jesus is light of the world, that’s why children are attracted to Him. That’s why we are a children ministry first and foremost. When I got saved, and Jesus shed His love abroad in my heart, Jesus steered me towards children ministry.
Jesus is God, therefore Jesus is pure light. Follow Jesus’ light (His Word), and you will grow in Him, and will lead many to Him, whether you realize it or not.
Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Jesus is light. Because we have Jesus’ light in us, we are the light of the world as well. Born again Christians should be seen as light, with no darkness of sin in us. Purge out hidden sin in your life. People pick up on it. We teach our children here to focus on Jesus’ love for them and that alone makes visible results. We shouldn’t have any darkness at all in us. We should stand out from the rest of a grumpy, stained world that’s going to hell. Jesus is the truth and the light and He is in us, shining away.
Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
