Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
This verse applies to all saved Christians (evidenced by concern for other souls). I personally see that our ministry has far reaching tentacles. (Our non-profit name changes about every 5-10 years, but the ministry in itself never does.)
Any true ministry has tentacles for that matter. Tentacles are tenacious, controlled only by the owner and the owner’s Creator. Our ministry, and every other (if it is truly called by God) has far reaching, tenacious tentacles. Also some evil things like false doctrine and gossip have long reaching tentacles as well. The words we say travel extensively. Even if we say them in secret, words (thought capsules) have a far reaching effect, for good or bad. Let’s focus on the good, Godly words.
Acts 13:49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.
Getting saved led us to working with kids in the garbage dump of Managua Nicaragua, on our 4th generation now, which led to the feeding centers. From the feeding centers grew churches and schools. All as a result of salvation. All of which are still functioning. And as the Lord permits, Winnie and I are still attending the same families in the dump (la chureca) where we first started.
It all just happened. It was a lot of fun, it was barely work (usually). People are still getting saved and going to heaven. Some, that I don’t even know and have never met, as a result of me and Matt Bowen driving down here in my old vw pick up with 60 dollars to my name 34 years ago.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap
The kids we ministered to in the beginning now have families and some are saved, some are professionals that we have helped, even seminary trained pastors. Many have moved to different parts of Nicaragua, even to other countries in the world.
The many teams we have received here are impacted and they start ministries themselves, some even got saved while they were here. Ministry never stops expanding in spite of us, not because of anything we do but in spite of what we do. To God be all the glory. It doesn’t matter what we see, or how we feel. It’s what happens in real time while we’re serving, unaware. It’s based on what God says, not our opinions or feelings.
2 Cor 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
