Ask

Seek

Knock

Matt 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds and to him that knocked it shall be opened.

Lots of people know this..  But they stop at ask.  It’s good and wise to ask for what God has promised through His Word.

James 4:2. You have not because you ask not.

Good start. But no ticket.  You have to do the seek and the knocks part too.

Jesus goes on to say Everyone (not anyone). Not anyone asks, every single (individual ones) do.  But not all people grasp this great truth.  Just the peculiar people, the individuals.

Matt 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Asking God in prayer with a persistent attitude, meaning to not only ask for something but to actively seek it with determination and to keep knocking (persisting) until they receive an answer; essentially signifying a continuous and fervent prayer life where one doesn’t give up easily.

Breakdown of the meaning:

Ask: Represents the initial request, verbally expressing your need to God.

Seek: Implies a deeper search and active pursuit, going beyond just asking and actively seeking God’s will.

Knock: Represents persistence and continued effort in prayer, like persistently knocking on a door until it opens.

Key points about this phrase: ASK!

Promise of receiving,

The verse assures that “everyone who asks receives, the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened”.

Importance of persistence:

The repetition of the actions emphasizes the need for continued prayer and not giving up easily.

Access to God: whom we are ASKing

This passage highlights that God is readily available to those who sincerely approach him with prayer.

Pray for us. ASK   Pre-Op qualification is a lot tougher every time.  And my hotel is over 100 a day for the pressure doesn’t help.  Not only a lung issue but now my heart is beating too fast because of what’s going on with the govt at home and now the daily burn rate here.  Those are resolved more or less.  No basically waiting for the ankle parts.

Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
