Do-nations

cts 11:29 The disciples, as each one was able, decided to provide help for the brothers and sisters living in Judea.

Judea was famine struck.  To make matters worse, the early believers (and some believers to this day) were already living on hand to mouth because they gave their excess to those who were worse off than they were.  Then a financial depression hit the country.

If all you want from this life is to become a millionaire, it’s probably not the best idea to get saved.  Part of getting saved means to become a joyful giver. Giving is the polar opposite of amassing wealth.

There are people who DO what they can for others, but the majority DON’T.  Those that DO for others are usually believers who have been touched by God.  Those the DON’T, probably haven’t been touched by God YET!

I was well off financially when I truly committed my life to Christ.  Now, as Christian missionaries, we are destitute by american standards. Thebright side is tens of thousands of people are better off because we obeyed God’s calling to serve the poor in Nicaragua.

People that see our finances are appalled by how little we get in donations.  Still, 200 people a day are fed, helped with medical expenses  and 35 kids go to school every day free of charge with the little we get.

Missions is a thank-less job, but Winnie and I wouldn’t do anything else.  Many people who have a stomach full of Pureheart’s food and many other blessings from PureHeart, to include education, health, vehicles, houses, churches, even american husbands!! But they still speak evil of us.

Some of our enemies whom we have helped alot are believers, even pastors. We love them anyway.  It doesn’t surprise us, Jesus warned us that it will happen if we truly follow Him;

Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Ok, so much for missions, but why is this missive called DO-NATIONS?  Because many missionaries are like us, ‘Do-ers of the Word’ and come from DOing-NATIONS.

James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves

As with people, There are those countries who DO, but MOST DON’T!  ( nationally wise as well as individually, there is a direct connection for some reason).  I compare my personal mission experiences with America’s foreign affairs.  Like PureHeart, America helps a lot of people and nations.  Most recipients take it for granted.  A few hearts and souls are won.  Sadly, there are people and nations that even turn on her eventually.

Nations are like individuals. For example when I read an old testament prophet’s warnings against Israel, I feel the sting myself.  When Israel rejected God, it was brought to my mind of times when I rejected God by sinning. It’s all tied together.  A nation isn’t a country, it’s a people group.

On a Micro-level, for example, Colombia has at least 80 nations in one country because of all the indigenous people groups.  Nicaragua has at least 6.

On a macro-level the world has 2 people groups and the same 2 types of nations; Those who DO and those who DON’T.

North America, some European countries and South Korea DO.  They are ‘do-ers’ or better put, givers.  So are her people as individuals for themost part.  We believe as Paul in the Bible quoted Jesus.  Acts 20:35 In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’

Everyone, absolutely EVERYONE, in the third-world countries have received help from the DOers, both national and individual.  Yet they are still spoken badly about.  They still have enemies that were literally raised and nourished by them.  But that is life, IF you want to live correctly.

I will rather DO on a personal level, and be a citizen of a DOing nation (USA still is a beautiful DO-Nation , in spite of all the bad press!) than be a receiver.

God bless all of you out there that DO.  Your crown is waiting for you.  Thank you for making it possible for PureHeartChildren’sFund to DO all it does.  We DO because you DO!  We also ask God to help thospe who don’t DO,,, YET!

DO-NACIONES  (Do quiere decir HACER)
