Six Weeks

Matt 10:14   And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet

So, remember when I said Cancer-Free?  Well. That is for six weeks.  Looks like my life has been cut up into SixWeek chunks.   Every six weeks I have to go and get my PSA rechecked, to see if cancer came back.  So my life is now chopped up into SixWeek chunks.

That’s extremely good news.   Now, because I get my life cut up into SixWeek segments I will get more done for the Kingdom.  It’s doable.  For example I can sprint the length of a pool but I can’t in my mind sprint for an hour and a half.  I can if I break it up into pool length segments it’s very easy actually.  SixWeeks is a pool length segment.  I might live 120 years. But at SixWeek segments I will get a lot more usefulness for God’s Kingdom, and my personal recompensa than I would just assuming I have another 60 years.  The mañana mentality that I constantly fight against down here would have me waiting til I was on my death bed to try to get things done.

Knowing from the Bible that I don’t have tomorrow promised to me is good.   It’s motivational.  But knowing from the doctor is even more motivating, although it shouldn’t be.

James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

My Doctor simply reminded me of a fact that I had known since I was saved. (Before I got saved, in my worldly stupidity, I thought I was bullet proof, literally).   Now though it’s different.  All I know is that I have SixWeeks to make something happen.  And to make changes.  I learned in the Army, in Business and in ministry, just do the next thing. Just do the next thing as perfectly and Gidly as I can, for just  SixWeeks more.

I now, in the next SixWeeks, which is all I am sure I have, I WILL:

1. Love every one.  They will know we are Christians by our love.  I can make that shift in six weeks (All are spirits.  All live forever, whether in heaven or hell). Homosexuals.  BLM. Communes.  Haji. Joe Biden. President Trump. Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn Manson.Osama bin Laden. Jeffrey Dalmer. Joel Osteen. Chuck Smith. Joseph Smith. Mother Theresa. Billy Graham.   Love ‘em all, let God sort ‘em out.  Dalmer may be in heaven, throwing his crowns at the feet of Jesus and Mother Theresa may be in hell.  We are commanded to love, and to share Jesus’ love with everyone.  Even if they don’t receive you, like the opening verse.  Shake off the dust (the bitterness, hurt, disappointment) and move on,,, ‘NEXT?’  Matthew 10:14.  Love, forget, love some more for the next SixWeeks until my next PSA test.  If I pass, start another SixWeeks full go. There are only two types of people in the world, those that believe on (count on) only Jesus to be saved and those that don’t. Believers or non believers.  I believe and want to help as many others believe as possible.

2. Control what you can control.  Don’t worry about things you can’t control.  1 Peter 5:7 says “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for us”.  So, I walked into famous footwear in Hilajeah with a list of shoes to buy every one. (Have a lot of people at home waiting for me, and I hate returning empty handed).  I was referred to Famous Footwear. There were like 3 salesmen talking to a very effeminate looking sales manager, (not one customer in a huge store).  I guess I interrupted them.  Then,  the manager, dressed like a teenaged girl (he was a man) kind of rudely waited on me and my friends (Cubans).  Not only was he hissy and miffed by us interrupting their pillow talk, but when I asked him to use the restroom he told me to go outside (lack of a prostate thing creates a sense of urgency) so I unraveled on him.   If anyone has seen me unravel, it’s pretty ugly and embarrassing.   Now I have to drive back to Hijaleah and ask the little missy for forgiveness.  Do what I can, forget what I can’t.  Matthew 10:14.  Love, forget, love some more for the next SixWeeks until my next PSA test.

3. Study the Word. Pray. IntercedezTeach the Word. Make disciples. Win Souls. 24/7/364.  Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Winning people for Jesus is truly my favorite thing to do.  I hate the word ‘Christian events’.  Evangelism is a lifestyle, not an event.  When Christians were running for their lives, in the primitive church ages, and today in places like China and Syria, the church explodes.  A bunch of church members trying to ‘out Christian’ each other during an event isn’t exactly the same thing,   What you spend the majority of your time on dictates who you are.  An hour a week isn’t who you are.  A person that says he is a minister of Gospel who can only be contacted during business hours is not a minister of the Gospel, but rather a business man.  Nothing wrong with it. Just a fact.  I visited my own denomination church here in Miami.  Great at teaching the Word. Nothing more.  Not very nice or loving people. Extremely ‘Christian event’ oriented.   The only reason I knew they were Christians was because they were in a church building. They were the 1 or 2 hour a week types I mentioned.  I found another church (the type that is the opposite of my denomination) and we thoroughly enjoy each other.   We spend time together.  They encourage me to spend more time in the Word and in prayer.  They encourage me to love my neighbor. (If you can’t tolerate you heathen neighbor, PLEASE don’t ‘do evangelical events’.). If you don’t radically love your neighbor in a way that they can see it. And feel it, your are disobeying Jesus.  It’s SIN.  Love your newbies as yourself This is the greatest and the first commandment. And the second is like to this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments dependeth the whole law and the prophets.” (Matthew 22: 35-40). Just tolerating them – greeting them in the am etc is NOT living them.  Do your evangelical even with them, 24/7/365, much more important. Matthew 10:14.  Love, forget, love some more for the next SixWeeks until my next PSA test.

4. Hospitality.  Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.  Where I am staying epitomizes this. Yader and Ruthy blow me away.  Also they go to the church I like. G (Palabra de Fe, 11,200 W Flagler, Miami),  3 blocks from my denominational church but a million times better.  My ministry will grow as I emphasize all of the above to my PureHeartChildren’sFund staff and kids over the next SixWeeks before my next PSA test.  Matthew 10:14.  Love, forget, liove some more for the next SixWeeks until my next PSA test.

5. OldFolksHome/Orphanage on the same property in Managua. James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.  God’s Word, not Mine.  I need to not only acquire the funds to do this, but train staff to run it, within SixWeeks.  Then, if God gives me another SixWeeks, it’s even better.

6. Do what God wants me to do.  Stop doing what He doesn’t want me to do, even if it looks good. James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.  Be kind!!   If you aren’t a good host, don’t invite people over.  Do NOT invite people to your church!   Why have an evangelical ‘event’ for every one to see if you don’t love your neighbor?  Why invite people to church if you aren’t going to receive them with open arms (truly, not in a fake way.

7. Hire a social media ninja to help me reach these goals.  Hopefully I am going to maximize this CPAP wait time to visit a bunch of churches, groups. Donate ETS and PureHeartChildren’sFund beloved friends.
