(PART# 6 of the 6 `i’s” that lead to desp’I’sing God,‘INSULT’)
1 Sam 2:30 for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.
INSULTING IS EASY. WE CAN DO IT WITHOUT EVEN THINKING ABOUT IT. IN SOME WAYS, COMPLETELY UNINTENTIONALLY. FOR EXAMPLE, A FEW PASTORS HESITATE TO MAKE HOUSE CALLS, UNLESS OF COURSE THE HOUSE IS A MANSION. JESUS MAKES HOUSE CALLS TO EVERYONE. THE MERE ACT OF NOT HONORING SOMEONE`S INVITATION CAN BE TAKEN AS AN INSULT. BE CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT YOU SAY, AND DO, AND DON´T DO! IF IT IS PERCEIVED AS AN INSULT, IT’S BECAUSE WE WEREN’T BEING CAREFUL.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Well the good news is, 2020 is over! A new year! ANOTHER rebirth experience, IF YOU NEED. A fresh love for the Holy Spirit. Be born again, again! Renew your pact with God. Kindle afresh the fire of the Holy Spirit within you. Go back to your first love. Decide this year to honor God with your life more than ever, with every step. As you honor God, He will honor you. These are God’s words, not mine.
You’re saved? God is honoring you. Your kids healthy? God is honoring you. Bills paid? God is honoring you. Honor God by not disrespecting Him, or others. Putting on your best suit on Sundays and being in church every time the doors open is just a scratch on the surface of honoring God. Reading the Bible every day and praying is another scratch. Not swearing and sinning is another scratch. What really counts is how you treat your fellow man. We are called to go and make disciples, not go and save money and try not to sin. You don’t make disciples with platitudes, Bible verses, classes etc. You make disciples by going and being a doer of the Word. You make disciples by honoring God as you honor others.
After today, closing out the year perfectly, we will have learned the six ‘I’s of despising God. THE WAY YOU DESPISE (disrespect) YOUR FELLOW MAN IS THE SAME AS DESPISING (DISHONORING) GOD. I hope that you and I (and the rest of the church) RUTHLESSLY purge these diabolical things out of our lives this year. Others first!

And today… - INSULT
NIV 2 Timothy 3
In the last days People will be;
(A) Lovers of themselves. This starts everyone down the slippery path where they are tempted to insult others. Someone who loves themselves usually has to justify it by putting others down. They do this by demeaning others. INSULTing them, sarcasm, ignoring them, or making them the brunt of cruel jokes. We love God and He loves us.
1 John 4;1 We love because he first loved us.
(B) Lovers of money. Lavish expense in the face of poverty insults the poor as it implies they are not worth as much as the frivolous whims of the rich. Money in the wrong hands is often used as a tool to insult people. There are countries where people are starving to death and their rulers are driving around in gold plated porches. Ladies buy 100 dollar flip flops and can’t give a hungry kid a nickel. Insulting others by showing off.
(Interesting side note… You don’t have to be rich to be a lover of money, many lovers of money are in fact, very poor.)
1 Timothy 6:For the love of money is the root of all evil
(C) Boastful people insult the listeners, implying they are superior to those around them.. Insinuating by their boasts that they are better.
Romans 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters,
(D) Proud people insult others by their bearing. Proud people lose so much in the way of relationships and knowledge. I avoid the words ‘I’m proud’. Prideful Christians turn everything into a sermon trying to show everyone else how spiritual they are. People feel stupid and inferior to them, (insulted), so they avoid saying anything else. Proud people roll their eyes if they dont understand something and saywhatever! Proud spanish students saysi si` when they don´t have a clue what the spanish teacher is saying.. the list goes on.
Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
(E) Abusive people insult everyone in their wake. Even their own families and loved ones. Abusive people die loney deaths.
Proverbs 11:7 The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.
(F) Disobedient to their parents. There is nothing more insulting to a parent than disobedient, rebellious kids. In the Old Testament, to be disobedient to your parents was a capital offense. Even if your parents are wrong. Even today! Disrespecting your parents leads to an early grave.
Exodus 20:12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.
(F) Ungrateful people are weak, insulting the giver instead of thanking them. Goes back to pride. It also disrespects God, because all good things come from Him.
Psalm 107:1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever
(G) Unholy people don’t respect God. They probably don’t really believe in Him. They insult Him continuously, while telling everyone they don’t believe. Question I always have is, how can you hate something you don’t believe in?
1 Peter 1:15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do
(H) Without love we are just another senseless, irritating, insulting buffoon because we think about ourselves instead of considering how your words and actions affect others.. Notice that this is the 11th commandment. It wasn´t in the original 10 commandments because the Holy Spirit wasn’t sent yet….. the Love of God had not yet been shed abroad in our hearts…God will never tell you to do something that you can not do.
John 13:35 A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also must love one another.
(I) Unforgiving, holding a grudge is an insult. Not only to the offender, but to everyone who hears you. You are insulting God if you don’t forgive someone, because He forgave you.
Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
(J) Slanderous, (the root word for slander is diabolical). Talking bad about people is insulting them. Attempting to assassinate their character.
Proverbs 10:8 Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool.
The list goes on. Instead of finding fault with others and pointing the finger, the Word of God says Judgement starts in the house of the Lord. Don`t worry about people insulting you. Not your job. Go over your actions and words to see if you are an insulting type of person.
Insults can be delivered in the form of sarcasm, put downs or profanities. Profanity is not always just swearing and being vulgar. Profanity is insulting God Himself. A profane word in the Bible is blasphemy. Sometimes even pastors are profane without even using a swear word when they put down someone in the Christian faith who doesn’t believe like they do. In their zeal to put down a different denomination, making fun of some of the things that they believe. Sometimes what the different denomination believes is totally scriptural, and it’s the preacher that is in error. Worse than the words coming out of his mouth, is the way he’s saying it.
Words are thought capsules. Not only the letters and sounds they form, but also the way it is said, the tone in which was said. IE. The term ‘What do you want’ doesn’t have a swear word in it, but it can come out in the most vulgar, insulting way possible.
When we talk to others, remember that God is listening to us. Our hearts, our tones, AND our words.
1 Peter 3:9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
New year, New words. New chances to honor God. These teachings are to change us, to help us to grow and to help us to win others to Him!

WHAT’S NEW AT PUREHEART?
COVID 19 UPDATE- STILL NOT ONE CASE OF COVID AMONG THE 300+ FAMILIES WE SERVE (APPROX 6000 PEOPLE, NOR AMONG OUR STAFF, NOR OUR EXTENDED FRIENDS AND FAMILY DOWN HERE WHERE WE SERVE). SCHOOL IS ON SUMMER VACATION. FEEDING CENTERS GOING ON AS USUAL. PSALM 91
PRAYER REQUESTS.
- We have paid all taxes, lawyers, fines and CPA,and clear sailing for the rest of the year.
- We gave out 1050 Christmas presents, one on one. Thank you God, and thank you for your gifts, prayers, and encouragement! Poor Winnie is still wiped out, pray for her.
- FOR OUR OWN HOME APART FROM THE MINISTRY. IT WILL BE CLOSE ENOUGH TO DIRECT AND OVERSEE EVERYTHING, BUT NOT INSIDE THE MINISTRY’S WALLS. IT’S NON STOP HERE AND WINNIE’S NOT WELL. SHE NEEDS A HAVE. I FOUND A HOUSE FOR 29K, we have almost 10k towards it.
- FOR THE ORPHANAGE THAT I KNOW IS IN OUR FUTURE. NOT ONLY AN ORPHANAGE, BUT AN OLD FOLKS HOME AS WELL. I THINK THE TWO CAN BE SIDE BY SIDE ON THE SAME PROPERTY, IT’S ONLY A MATTER OF MONEY. IT WOULD BE A BLESSING TO THE OLD FOLKS TO HEAR KIDS PLAYING, AND IT WOULD BE A BLESSING FOR THE KIDS TO HAVE ABUELAS AND ABUELOS.
- ALL PAPERWORK AND LAWYER WORK, AND NGO BOOKS HAVE BEEN RESUBMITTED. WON’T KNOW ANYTHING TIL AFTER THE NEW YEAR
- AMERICA!
PRAISE REPORTS
- Summer vacation is here, much needed. Everyone is getting to relax. Winnie and I are only doing the feeding center in the dump until school starts again in Feb
- Since I have started tithing my retirement I have had no stress about finances.
- A much lighter atmosphere. We have been oppressed for a long time. Even though we have more problems and ever growing dynamics, there isn’t that horrible pressure. I think it was spiritual and your prayers are working. I feel victory.
Pureheart Update – John 3:16. For God so loved the world that He gave……. We gave out 1,050 presents impacting over 6000 lives with the love of Jesus Christ. Thank you God, NicaSource and thank you for your gifts, prayers, and encouragement!
