Function

Function (ESPAÑOL Below)

I was asked once ‘what is your function?’  It embarrassed me because I didn’t know the answer.  I think the Lord was speaking to me through this question.  It haunted me for years.

Now I know the answer.  My FUNCTION is to know God, and to make Him known.

We function better as we learn what pleases God.  God loves faith.  Us functioning in faith pleases Him.  He commands those who love Him to do so.

My function also is to function in faith. With faith comes an excited expectancy. Where there is no expectancy nor excitement there is no faith.

‘The Just shall live by faith’
Hab 2:4 / Rom 1:17 / Gal 3:11 / Heb 10:38/

Forgive me for continuously coming back to the subject of faith. I am going through some mind numbing trials right now. I personally need it more than ever to keep me going. Glib church platitudes about faith, and comments about ‘faith-flakes’ just don’t cut it now. I NEED MORE REAL FAITH!

Correct faith is not just obedience. It has to do with our hearts. It’s believing and honoring God. Faith is knowing there is great benefit in doing all things that God shows you to do for Him.

The question is, ‘faith in what?’ Is it Faith in our mental efforts? or just Faith in Faith? NO!

True Faith is Faith In God Himself, in his Character, and in His Word. He never lies. He is absolutely believable about what He says. He is good. He is trustworthy and faithful. He is Never negative, Never Moody or irritable. We can have Faith in His Word. He is good for His Word. Who is His Word? Jesus! God the Son. God the Father is worthy of Faith just as His Good Son, JesusChrist.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Faith in God is how a true Christian functions. Functioning through faith is the only way to please God. It is the mark of a believer.

Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits

Faith is one of the Fruits of the Spirit:

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Functioning in Faith is the only way to live a life that shows Him and those watching us that we BELIEVE. The JUST shall live ((FUNCTION) through Faith.

We plug into God’s Fruit of His Spirit (faith), when we get saved. But we MUST EXERCISE our faith. (Exercising our faith is how we grow in it.) Exercising our faith is on us to do.  NO ONE CAN EXERCISE FOR YOU.

How do we exercise our faith?  If you feel God urging you to do something, to take a step of faith and do it! That is how we exercise our faith and function in it.

I personally do not know of anyone who has been disappointed placing ALL of their FAITH COMPLETELY in God, and DOING what He has shown them to do. EVER!

Faith is a free gift from God, through His Holy Spirit.

Faith is understanding how God wants us to function. When you have faith you have no fear, because you are following God by faith and doing things that He showed you to do, in His way.

Functioning in  faith down here on the mission field means always telling the truth, even when it isn’t convenient. Not paying bribes. Feeding and helping ANYONE who calls or comes to our door, whether we have it or not (unless God shows us not to). Being positive in negative situations. Making the tough choices. Turning the other cheek. Walking the extra mile. If you get killed in the process GLORY TO GOD! You made it to heaven!! If you get put into prison, GLORY TO GOD, lot’s of inmates and guards are going to get saved. If you get sick or hurt, GLORY TO GOD, lots of Dr’s, Nurses, Sick People and Visitor’s are going to get saved.

With functioning in faith comes belief, and visa versa. Repentance from sin as well. Faith is belief, and with belief comes repentance (a changed life) and Love. You can’t truly love someone you don’t believe in.  YOU CAN ONLY HAVE FAITH IN GOD IF YOU BELIEVE IN HIM:
Faith, Belief, Repentance and Love go hand in hand.

Functioning in Faith has NO Fear nor condemnation. Fear has nothing to do with faith, love nor belief. Fearful people usually fail, all alone. Faithful people win, with others cheering them on. Faithful people love and are loved. (maybe not by their immediate family, but by their spiritual family).

Perfect love is full of faith, which casts out fear.

1 John 4:18. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Functioning in Faith is Loving Others Unconditionally. It becomes the fabric of who you are. Faith is Love, and that’s how we should function.

Functioning in Belief, Repentance, Faith and Love is how we train up the children at Pureheart Pre-k , Winnerclub and our feeding centers. We do that by behaving in ways that pleases the Father, as in integrity, changed lives, repentance, guarding our tongues (work in progress), keeping our promises and unconditionally loving the children and their families.

We teach the children how to walk in faith through our  personal example of walking in faith. Every month we live by faith. We have no salaries, we have just barely enough to make ends meet. But thanks to God and to you WE ALWAYS MAKE IT! We have no savings, no reserves, no insurance, no safety nets: Yet God has been faithful.

God uses people to help us. Sometimes even the same people we are here to serve.  Just today the parents of the kids painted all the furniture for PureHeart PreK, it is a law for schools to paint yearly, I guess to kill germs.(These parents volunteered their time and resources, including buying their own paint to do so with). Nicaraguans have donated furniture, sugar cane, fruit, vegetables, rice, beans, money, chickens and even a hog once.

PureHeart is a work of love and faith through God and community. Everything you see here, that the kids see, is a result of God’s Faith, and by us functioning as He wishes. It is a great testimony to Him and His Great love for us and these beautiful people.

We give all the Glory to Him, only Him, who is worthy of our faith, belief and love.

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Hab. 2: 4 / Rom 1:17 / Gal 3:11 / Heb 10: 38

Nunca he mentido.

No pagar sobornos.
