I walked for the first time since 7 Feb. Going home to Managua at the end of month. Lots of extra costs, especially a last minute plane ticket. Also, becoming a recognized non profit in Nicaragua is really expensive with the lawyer’s unexpected costs 🙁
Have a day cast for my ‘good leg’ which hopefully heals With the day cast!!!! (Bone spur and avusional fracture). It’s a miserable first time experience for me to be bed bound and Winnie’s all alone, pray! She’s facing the nica government!
But God is good. VA has been more than generous!
HOW ARE YOU????
So enough about me, how are you?? How can I pray for you????? I know you pray for me. I can feel it!! Thank you!!! (Seriously, let me know your prayer requests. )
Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Right about now, you’re probably sick of my p.l.o.m stories (poor little old me). I never feel good trying to fix my own problems. What jazzes me is being used by God to fix other people’s problems. 99% of all problems are fixed by prayer. Real focused prayer. Not by unsolicited advice. Not by being nosey. Problems are fixed by serious, intentional, intercessary prayer.
Jame 5:16 The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much
Jesus prayed before He met the day head on. He really prayed (intentionally talking to God the Father and intently listening to Him). That’s why when He gathered His disciples He had twelve perfect hires, even Judas. No turnover. Guided by God. I wish I prayed like that. All my problems are because I don’t pray strongly enough. If you let me know what to pray for in your world, I promise to pray harder. (*NOTE. I do not pray for ‘secret’ or ‘unmentioned’ prayer requests. Let me know what to pray for so I know ‘how to pray’). I want to give a shoulder to your burdens. I am working on my prayer life while I am ‘interned’.
Phillipians 4:6 Don’t worry about anything; on the contrary, make your requests known to God by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving.
God knows our problems and travails even before we do, let alone ask Him for help. Only God is omniscient. All knowing. Also God is all powerful and fully capable of miraculously solving any problems in which we find ourselves. People shock me. They are going through problems and not asking for God to help them, nor asking for intercessors. I am guilty as well. The solution is right in front of us. It’s God! But we forget to talk to Him about it. Is it because we lack faith or just don’t believe enough? We have not because we ask not.
James 4:2 ye have not, because ye ask not
Let’s pray for one another. I know you are praying for me, I can feel the prayers, and I am healing, although very slowly. Praise God! Pray with thankfulness BEFORE you see results. Paul wrote the following joyful verse from prison under Nero. Intercessory prayer really comes into power when you put yourself into the situation of the person you’re interceding for. I am bed bound in Miami surrounded by death while my wife (who isn’t well) is protecting our ministry from the nica government all alone, in Nicaragua. Or put yourself in the shoes of a Christian brother in Syria who is trying to protect his family from homicidal muslim psychopaths right now, this very instant, in Syria.
Phillipians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus
