Yes!! It’s That Easy To Have Peace With God! (Step 4 of the Roman’s Road)
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Believe in (trusting completely in, counting only on) Jesus and confessing Him with your mouth to others and you go to heaven. Yes, it’s that easy. Anything else is works, and that means you are not trusting only in Jesus. Confessing with your mouth is easy too, once you have Jesus in your heart. It’s impossible not to. Believe me, I tried. I told God when I got saved that I was going to be a silent Christian. That lasted about 5 minutes. He is so beautiful that He is the only thing worthwhile to talk about. A lot better than talking about grown men playing with rubber balls, or the speculation, agendas and opinions coming out on the news.
God raised Jesus from the dead. IF you really believe that (belief in itself is a gift), you can not contain it. This same power that God used to raise Jesus from the dead is the same power that will change and enrich your life, heal you, and take you to heaven. If Christ wasn’t truly risen from the dead, none of this matters.
1 Corinthians 15:14-20 and if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: and if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
It is imperative to believe in Jesus, and to be 100% convinced that Christ is risen from the dead in order to saved. When one truly believes that, (which is a gift from God, nothing you did by your own efforts), you are born again. That means our spirit is in direct communication with God.
Like God, man is triune. We have a spirit, soul (which includes your mind/moods/emotions) and flesh. The spirit controlled (in this order) the soul and the flesh. When Adam and Eve were created, their spirit (inner man) was in direct communication with God. Their spirit was in control, then their soul, then their flesh. When they ate the forbidden fruit, their spirit was last. The order now was flesh, soul and spirit. That is how we are all born. The flesh rules.
Our flesh rules until we believe in Jesus and repent of our sins. (Repentance, like confession, pnly comes from real supernatural belief). When that happens we are new creatures. We are born again. We are going to heaven, even though we don’t really understand what is going on. You have to be born again. That’s the only hope for the kids at PureHeartChildren’sFund and that’s the only hope for each and everyone of us. A religious man, a good man snuck up to Jesus at night (because he was embarrassed) and asked Jesus what did he have to do to go to heaven.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God
4 steps to peace with God
1. Recognize that you are a sinner
2. Recognize that you deserve hell
3. Recognize God’s gift of Jesus
4. Believe in your heart and confess
It is that easy. If you have never admitted that you are a sinner, worthy of going to hell, do it now. We have all sinned. Please accept the fact that Jesus died for your sins, and believe in your heart that He is risen from the dead, and tell others about Him today. It is that easy to ensure that you have eternal life.
